Shaudi & Babak :: A Modern Style Wedding

Shaudi & Babak have a truly unique style. They're a modern couple, a little eccentric, slightly goth, slightly rock star-ish and an all around cool couple. They wisely chose Ms. Sherry Landi of Bella Dolce Designs as their Event Designer and coordinator. And wow did she do an awesome job showing the couple's unique style and personality throughout the design and decor of the event. The entire night before the wedding and morning of, mother nature poured her little heart out in rain. Tons and tons of rain. The entire wedding ceremony and reception were scheduled to be outside at a family home. Sherry went nuts making sure she used her one tent to it's utmost capability and everything else was covered and secured with tarps to keep it all dry. You would never know it by looking that the images below. Right on schedule, just before the ceremony, the weather broke and beautiful sun came out to shine on Shaudi & Babak's special day. Just like magic.

One more thing...don't miss out on the images showing the cutest little Flower Girl Zone. Shaudi and Babak love kids and wanted to be surrounded by them during the celebration. They built a special little space where the flower girls could let loose and have fun. Full of stickers and fun girly stuff, and even a cute chandelier, the little pink house was truly a little girl's paradise.

Kelly & Matt :: Wedding in the Woods at Nestldown

Kelly and Matt were married at the nestled-in-the-woods property at Nestldown. I love this couple because they were so adventurous to ask me to shoot their engagement session while standup paddleboarding. Obviously, I jumped at the chance. And I also love their wedding venue choice. There's so much fun "stuff" (for lack of a better word) to shoot at Nestldown. And the wedding vendors gave me eye candy to capture too. Thank you Kelly and Matt for letting us be a part of your special day.

Virginia & Savannah :: Mommy - Daughter Photo Shoot

Virginia is a beautiful, sweet, single mom with the cutest little girl, Savannah. Since the mommy-daughter duo live on the east coast, this family photo shoot was designed as a gift to Virginia's parents and brother. And of course, little Savannah was the star of the shoot. She is lovely to photograph; she communicates very well and is full of sentences! She's a little chatter box and is definitely loves to giggle. Looking at these images of her different expressions will just make your day. Oh and you might recognize my Chicken, the famous Paddle Dog, who made an appearance at this shoot too!

South Asian Bride Magazine :: Editorial Feature

Just a few months back, I had the pleasure of working with the divine Amrit Dhillon-Bains of Anais Events. She was asked by South Asian Bride Magazine to design a photo shoot inspired by Pantone's 2013 Color of the Year, Emerald Green. Amrit and her team headed to the Westin St. Francis and created an elegant table design complete with gold accents and emerald embellishments, down to the smallest of details. This design has all the makings of a fantastic editorial feature.

A special thanks to all the wedding vendors who collaborated on this shoot.

Nicki & David Pogue :: Wedding Portraits

As you might have read in my previous blog entry, Nicki and David's wedding was very family-centric. Their love for their family and intimate friends is heartwarming. Since the wedding was so focused on the uniting of two families, I wanted to show more family photos in the blog entry about the wedding. But, there were so many incredible shots of just Nicki and David that I decided to post a little blog dedicated specifically to the bride and groom. Nicki and David, this one's for you!
